Sad Update - Odie

It is with the heaviest hearts that we share the loss of our sweet Odie

Many of you followed Odie’s journey — from his twisted little leg and all the challenges that came with it, to the treatments, appointments, and extra care he needed just to have a chance at a normal, happy life. He was so incredibly loved every step of the way.

Last night, out of nowhere, Odie began having seizures. He was rushed to the emergency vet, and they took him right in, but before they could even place an IV, he passed away.

This is the part of rescue that is hardest to put into words.

Fostering is love, hope, and commitment — but it is also heartbreak. We open our homes and our hearts knowing we may not get the ending we fought so hard for. Odie is a reminder of just how fragile these little lives can be, and how deeply they matter.

Rescue is not just about saving lives — it’s about showing up, over and over again, for the most vulnerable. It takes a village. From our fosters, to our veterinary partners, to every single one of you who supports, donates, shares, and cheers these kittens on — Odie was surrounded by that love.

Run free, sweet boy. You were so loved, and you always will be.
