Emerald Ember Litter Rescued

From the ashes… six little lives were given a second chance.

Earlier today, 6 tiny kittens were found in the aftermath of the fire on West Kennewick Ave in downtown Kennewick. It could have been a heartbreaking ending—but instead, it became a rescue story.

We’re so grateful to share that all six kittens are now SAFE, warm, fed, and sleeping soundly.

They’ve been through more than any little kitten ever should, but tonight they’re wrapped in blankets, with full bellies and finally able to rest.

We’re calling them the Emerald Ember Litter—a symbol of hope rising from hardship.

Aside from some burnt little toe beans and a bit of singed hair and whiskers, they are doing incredibly well. Tough little survivors already.

We could really use your help! These babies will need a steady supply of kitten milk replacer (KMR) as they continue to grow and recover. If you’re able to donate, please reach out or check our links to see how you can help.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do—because every life matters, no matter how small.

Stay tuned as we learn more about these little survivors and help them continue to thrive.
